Happy International Accounting Day
Happy International Accounting Day
November 10th is International Accounting Day. A day to reflect on what it means to be an accountant and a great opportunity to celebrate all accountants.
Each year on November 10th, we pay tribute to the work of Luca Pacioli, “The Father of Modern Accounting.” We also honor all those who have chosen the profession of accounting. A profession that was traditionally dedicated to helping businesses and individuals balance the books and keep their tax affairs in order.
But Accounting Day in Iran is December 6th.
.International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), in their 30th anniversary, announced that December 2nd to 8th 2007 ( 11th to 17th of Azar 1386 in Iran) is the International week of Accounting, asking all its member to do the same and plan to have seminars and gatherings under the same title. In that year, the Iranian Chartered Accountants Association, which is an IFAC member, made the above mentioned announcement and summoned all Iranian Accounting Associations to install a day as the Accounting day. Finally, in a gathering on Azar 4th 1386, December 6th was named as the Accounting day in Iran.
