Reported by HPMM Group according to FINANCIAL TRIBUNE ;     Iran National Pavilion has been launched in the Shanghai Free Trade Zone for increasing exports of goods and services, and attracting foreign investment.

According to Ali Dehqani, Iran’s commercial attaché to Shanghai, the business center offers services both online and in person, IRNA reported.

The center displays a wide range of Iranian products such as handicrafts, hand-woven and machine-made carpets, high-tech products, petrochemicals, construction stones, food, nuts and tourism services, among others.

The two-story pavilion is situated at Waigaoqiao, an area of Shanghai’s free trade zone, and covers an area of 5,400 square meters. The lower story is used for exhibition and demonstrations, and the upper story is the office of Iran’s enterprises, China Daily reported.

It enjoys a series of advantages, including those pertaining to its being located in a free trade zone, proximity to warehouses and cold storages, good e-commerce infrastructures.

The Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration’s latest data show Iran’s exports to China amounted to $8.2 billion during the 11 months to Feb. 19.

Imports from China to Iran stood at $11.5 billion during the period.

Iran’s top trading partner bought 20% of Iran’s total non-oil exports.

China had a 24% share in Iran’s total imports during the 11-month period.
