Iran Setting Up Petrochemical Hub on Persian Gulf Coasts

Reported by HPMM Group according to FARS NEWS ;   Iran is planning to establish a petrochemical hub on the coasts of the Persian Gulf in the Southern part of the country, Managing Director of the National Iranian Petrochemical Company (NIPC) Behzad Mohammadi announced.

“One of the projects of the petrochemical industry is creating a new hub on the Persian Gulf coasts in Assalouyeh region where from regional dimension, facilities and the strategic position is attractive for all investors,” Mohammadi said.

He underlined that considering the existing technical infrastructure under construction, such as obtaining legal permits and proximity to the airport, sea, Assalouyeh region and food sources, Parsian could be a new hub of the petrochemical industry.

The Parsian region is one of the development hubs in the country, which, given the economic, social, political, security, environmental and geographical components, allows the establishment of various energy consuming industries.

Based on the plans drawn up in this special area, except for the development of the petrochemical industry, the creation of industries such as steel, aluminum, and the development of infrastructure such as export docks and electricity and water production are underway.
